Trinity Square Car Park in Gateshead as featured in the 1971 film 'Get Carter' starring Michael Caine.
Due to be demolished over the coming years. Its a classic example of Brutalist architecture. Its deemed in general as pretty ugly so its getting knocked down. I tend to agree that Brutalist is ugly but, I still feel the desire to photograph such structures.
This car park was designed by architect Owen Luder. He also designed the Derwent Housing Tower (nicknamed the Dunston Rocket) in Dunston, Gateshead which currently stands unoccupied. I intend to take photographs of that soon also.
